News Item Companies Office Enterprise Goes Live
It has been long awaited but it's finally arrived. The Ministry of Economic Development launched its shiny new Enterprise Business Portal featuring the new world class rendition of the New Zealand Companies Office. The Ministry and long term software development partner Foster Moore worked over the last 20 months to bring their joint vision to fruition. This "Rolls Royce" website launched at midnight Sunday, 27 June, embodies the passion of both parties to retain a global position as #1 for ease of starting a business. News Item Chuck Moore to attend IACA Conference
FMIT will be represented by Chuck Moore, Joel Foster and Stephen Robb at the International Association of Commercial Administrators (IACA) annual conference in Austin, Texas in May. Joel will be presenting a seminar on mobile technology and its relationship with registry businesses. The crew will also network with other conference attendees during their stay at the conference. IACA proved to be a source of many valuable relationships when FMIT attended last year.

News Item FMIT Implements new Online Companies Registry in Tonga - www.companies.gov.to
Tonga's first online registry went live on Monday the 16th of November. The new online registry is a culmination of legal reform, business process improvement and technology to be a leading example in what the South Pacific island nations can achieve. The new registry service will provide better public access to company information. This is the start of a program of online registry services for Tonga.
News Item ITS Wins Vero Excellence Supreme Award
The Insolvency and Trustee Service (ITS) of the Ministry of Economic Development won the Vero Supreme Award and the Private Public Sector Partnership category for their outstanding delivery of an innovative and leading edge solution for the implementation of the Insolvency Act 2006. FMIT have worked closely with ITS to develop the award-winning Insolvency Case Management and Trust Accounting system. FMIT were involved from the inception through the implementation of the system, providing business consulting, development, content management and infrastructure services.

FMIT attended the sixth Corporate Registers Forum Conference in Cape Town. The conference was hosted by the Companies and Intellectual Property Registration Office (CIPRO) and ran from the 30th of March to the 3rd of April 2009.
